Write a list

Now, it is a little know fact (so my friend Frances tells me) that when you consciously look at something it changes…. That, apparently is Quantum Physics dumbed down a bit (quite a bit, really).

I have given this a bit of thought and realise that it is quite true. Look at it this way. Do you sometimes get that feeling of being absolutely overwhelmed with things to do and you just don’t know where to start? I bet you do. I quite often get that feeling. It can become a massive block to your day. You sit at your desk and everything becomes as blur and you just can’t see the wood for the trees.

Taking on board the quantum physics bit, all you need to do is ‘look at the situation’ and it will change. The answer to this dilemma is to very simply - MAKE A LIST.That’s it! Just write down all of the tasks you need to achieve, switch the email and phone off, and work through them one by one. You can only focus on one thing at a time, so just concentrate on that one thing and you will be amazed how much better you feel once you have firstly ‘looked at’ what your tasks are and secondly, realised that they are just a list of achievable tasks to complete. They then change from a huge, black cloud of fuzziness into a list of things for you to focus on one at a time. Voila!

Give it a go!

What Recession?

Now I have not been living in a cave and so I do know that things are going on in our world economy, but I would suggest that we need to look at it as a time of opportunity. Good things always come out of crisis, eventually, we just need to be creative.

I was at a conference recently when I heard a great story about Conrad Hilton who in the middle of the depression in the USA bought up all of the hotels that were going out of business. He knew that economies are cyclical, as are a lot of things, and he was right. He bought them for next to nothing and the rest is history as they say.

So, thinking a bit differently and not just going with the general flow is the way forward here, This was one of the reasons we started Business in a Box Company. Different! What can you do that makes the most of current opporutnities?
